Mountain lion killed in Arkansas, first since 1975
The Game and Fish Commission said Thursday that 62-year-old Douglas Ramer of Bastrop, Louisiana, was deer hunting east of Hermitage in Bradley County when the cat approached his deer stand. Ramer told officials he felt threatened and fired, which regulations allow.
It weighed 148 pounds.
The carcass was given to state biologists and hair was collected for testing that could help determine where it may have been born.
Mountain lions, also known as pumas and cougars, lived throughout Arkansas until about 1920. Game officials hired trappers to control predators from 1927-29, but no mountain lions were taken then.
Mountain lions were killed in Montgomery County in 1949, Ashley County in 1969 and Logan County in 1975.
Obama Care & Stupid Sheep!
“Lack of transparency is a huge political advantage,” Gruber said. “Call it the stupidity of the American voter, or whatever. But basically, that was really, really critical to getting the thing to pass.”
The Washington Times reported taxpayers paid Gruber millions for his work on Obamacare. Not only did he receive hundreds of thousands from the White House, but many states paid him as much as $400,000 each to produce reports praising the health-care law.
I have seen the tapes where he carries on about how clever he is. I don’t understand why these people equate intellect with dishonesty. He boasts about how cleverly the bill was written, but it wasn’t even remotely clever. Many knew exactly what was being done. The ones that did not, only trusted that they would be forthright, naively. It’s funny how being a common criminal in character now passes for intelligence.
This is exactly why there is a second amendment….. Here is what they thought in the Past:
“If the representatives of the people betray their constituents, there is then no recourse left but in the exertion of that original right of self-defense which
is paramount to all positive forms of government, and which against the
usurpations of the national rulers may be exerted with infinitely better
prospect of success than against those of the rulers of an individual State. In
a single State, if the persons entrusted with supreme power become usurpers,
the different parcels, subdivisions, or districts of which it consists, having
no distinct government in each, can take no regular measures for defense. The citizens must rush tumultuously to arms, without concert, without system,
without resource; except in their courage and despair.”
Hamilton, Federalist No. 28
