Ha, no gangs in NWA ? Really? Your asleep and not watching where your going!
Identified a notable amount of gang members from various known dangerous street gangs. There are many gangs in North West Arkansas. There waiting until there troops are larger. There growing daily. Ten year’s ago, I never seen any activity, but in the last two years, I have seen markings around the area on sides of stores, bridges and fences as well as in many restrooms.
These are just the few that I remember:
1. Sureno 13
2. Mexican Mafia
3. Nuestra Familia
5. Texas Syndicate (We actually had 2 very high ranking members in the county jail for about 8 months before they went to the Arkansas Department of Corrections)
6. Latin Kings
7. Vice Lords
8. Gangster Disciples (Their numbers are growing very fast in our area. Lot of them moving here from the Chicago area)
10. C rips
11. Pecker woods
12. Aryan Brotherhood (We had a Lieutenant in the county jail for about a week. He was forced to stay in PC the entire time due to his ranking and potential problems.)
The reason most people don’t know these gangs have a presence in the area is because it is difficult to identify them. Law enforcement officers are forced to identify them by their gang tattoos and there simply hasn’t been enough training done to educate all the officers. You can easily have someone arrested for possession of a controlled substance w/ intent to deliver, but if you can’t identify the gang they are dealing for, they can’t attribute it to them.
The area has grown quite a bit, especially in the last ten years or so. The gangs haven’t just “formed”, though. A lot of the people who live here come from places such as California, Chicago, etc.
